Mplayer is a fine free video player for Mac, as good as a freeware can get. Not the greatest of interface when you talk about the great interface that you get to see these days, however, it is beyond any doubt one of the most versatile player around. Some file types which are not played on VLC can be played here and that is sayinga lot for this nice little software. It can play for you AVI, DiVX, XViD, Mov, MPG (mpeg) and many more file types.
